A Church Built on Faith
On June 17, 1957, New Mount Bethel Baptist Church was founded under the leadership of the late Rev. Medrick M. Washington, established to cultivate and practice the Christian religion in accordance with the Holy Scriptures.
From our original home at 3143 Albany Street to our current beautiful edifice at 1442 Thirty-First Street, Kenner, Louisiana, we have served the Lincoln Manor community for over six decades.
Under Rev. Frederick Matthews, who has faithfully led our congregation since July 1998, New Mount Bethel continues to be a beacon of hope and faith for Kenner and beyond.
To exalt the Savior, edify saints, evangelize sinners, and elevate society — Matthew 28:18–20.
Mission, Vision & Values
Core Values — What We Believe
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the foundation of all we do.
The Word of God, our ultimate authority and guide.
The people of God, the body of Christ.
Offered to all through Jesus Christ.
Through the Son, a hope that anchors our souls.
Tithe, offering, and free-will giving as an act of worship.
For Generations to Come
“One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.”
“For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
Our Pastors
